Description of location :
The site is located in Khuld sum. It is 30Km south-west of the Luus sum centre. Rinchen: Khevtüül, Maidar: Khevtüül. Presently the monastic site belongs to Khevtüül bag of Khuld sum. The site is situated on the road leading from Luus to Delger Khangai, not far from the once existed Menget monastery [ДУХД 022]. Delgerkhangai Mountain cannot be seen from the site. There is an ovoo northwest of the area. Khevtüül us flows nearby. The place is 30 km southwest of Luus sum centre.

Not much remains from the monastic site. Maybe two wooden temples were situated in a fenced-off courtyard and another one on its east side. Stupas stood to the north behind the complex and a well is still on the south. Litter was thrown to the southeast. Some pieces of wood, roof tiles and fragments of equipment of everyday life (pots, etc.) were found on the site. Traces of digging are visible. Members of the local authority of Khuld Sum visited the site and took GPS coordinates.

According to D. Dogsüm, who was a monk of Luus monastery when he was a child, the temple buildings of Khevtüüliin Jas were made of bricks and mud.
According to the book of J. Shotoon (Avarguudiin Ölgii, Luus Nutag, 2003 Ulaanbaatar, p.157), Tsevegjaviin Shagdar was the lovon monk of Khevtüül monastery. He was born in 1911 (pp. 161-162). His father, Batiin Tsevegjav was a Gavj and Güremch Lam of Khevtüül monastery. Tsevegjav was sentenced to death in 1938. Shagdar became a monk in the monastery when he was 5. He worked in Ulaanbaatar and retired in 1971. He forced the establishment of Lamrim Datsan in Ulaanbaatar and participated in the ceremonies of Gandan. He passed away in 2003.
According to the above-mentioned book (p. 158) Gombo Gavj of Khevtüüliin Jas was in prison together with Angliin Pagvajav of Luus monastery [ДУХД 019]. After 10 years in prison he could return home.
According to Maidar (611) 113 monks belonged to the monk community of Khevtüüliin Khiid, which consisted of 3 temple buildings and 5 Jas. The temple buildings were made of wood.
