Description of location :
Occupies mixed rangeland of forest and steppe. The site is located 68 km. northeast of the sum centre and to its north is a mountain Bayan Khaan, to the south is Dund Khoig mountain, to the west is a well, Seruun, found in a valley of Seruun Gaitain. The mountains Bayankhaan and Kharaat Owoo are worshiped.

The site was home to about 100 Buriyats who migrated from the north of Mongolia and built the temple. After the temple was closed, all of the monks were executed by shooting. In 1940, the family members of the executed monks were given a misleading order to labor on a school which would be built in Dadal Sum. Instead they were taken to Undurkhaan where they were forced to work on construction of a sport hall which measured 30 x 10 m. This hall disappeared in a fire in 1970.
