Description of location :
The site lies in an open plain. Eastward from Kholboo’s foothill is a mountain named Dashchilbii and to the west of Dashchilbii is another mountain, Salkhit, which is also known as Khar Undur. Northwest is a mountain, Bayan-Erkhtii, and at its south is Khuviin Mountain. Byatkhan’s well is located 1 km. from the monastery base.

During the war in 1939, this site was home to soldiers who were in training. They eventually left this area to go to Khovd.
