The site is located in the place called Derst denj which is south of Dashpil mountain, 20 km. southeast of Khangai sum center. It is on the north bank of Nariin Gichgene river. To the north, 14-15 km., is sacred Dashpil mountain, west are Noyonkhangai and Khatankhangai mountains
