Description of location :
The site is located in the valley of the Agityn mountain pass. The Shiregiin river runs along the south side. Nariin mountain lies south of the river. In 1990 A stupa on Agit mountain that was worshipped by the local monks in the past was restored, but worshiping has ceased. Since 1990 the gelugpa school was the only one to be followed.

Site status at the time of survey :
The site is located in the north-east section of Tsagaanlkhairkhan sum centre of Zavkhan province. There are the outlines of a few buildings and some piles of earth on the site. In 1990 a new temple was built on the site and it was called Pashlin monastery. Since 1996 the monastery has a watchman. He has some cattle and the cattle shelter has been constructed on the old site, so the marks and signs are disappearing. He has been living there for 12 years now. Also a toilet has been built on the old site. Also the area has been a subject to desertification. No actions has been taken to preserve the site.
We found 9 or 10 people to interview about the old site. Agityn monastery was built later that Duutyn monastery, which is in 8Km from here. This monastery was smaller with fewer monks - said to be about 200 - and followed the red hat sect.
