Description of location :
The site was located at the end of Namiriin gol and the upper part of Khas Us lake in the valley that extends for 200-300 km. In 1931 the centre of Umnugobi sum was established at the site. Since then the monastery buildings were destroyed by the construction of new buildings of the sum. There are no sacred mountains in the area. This is the main Autumn place for the local herders. Namiraa river starts from the western part of the Kharkhiraa mountains. The river starts of as Orlogo river then, 10 km. from the sum centre, it becomes Namiriin river. The river runs into the Lake Khar Us. Due to the development of gold mines at the springs of the Orlogo river, there has been an influx of over 300 families, creating an ecological imbalance. The river is surrounded by several mountain ranges such as Seruun, Yargait, Yol and Baga Buural. The main dwellers of the area are Durvuds.

Nothing is left from the core structure of the temples. Due to the construction of sum buildings and households, everything remaining from the old site was completely removed & demolished. It was not possible to take photos nor to sketch the site. Also desertification has caused some destruction.
